Yacht charter regions in Croatia are divided from north to south into Istria, the Kvarner Gulf, the Kornati and Dalmatia. Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea, it borders on Slovenia in the north and is a good starting point for a yacht charter cruise in the Kvarner Gulf. Charter bases for yacht charter in Croatia are located in Istria in Umag, Porec, Vrsar, Rovini and Pula.

The Kvarner Gulf itself also has harbours in Cres, Punat, Rab, Losini or Rijeka at the disposal of yacht charter crews in Croatia for a cruise in a diverse sailing area of the Adriatic Sea.
The area of the Kornati is also very popular among yacht charter crews in Croatia. Sailing holidays in the Kornati have become a yearly tradition for very many crews. Yacht charter bases for a cruise in the Kornati are Zadar, Biograd, Murter, Tribunj and Vodice as well as Sibenik and Primosten.

Thanks to good airplane connection to Split, many yacht charter crews start off in Primosten (Marina Kremik), Rogoznica, Marina (Marina Agana) or in one of the charter bases in Trogir, Kastela or Split. From here you can either leave for the Kornati archipelago with the National Park Kornati or sail southwards and explore the Dalmatian coast and the island world of Solta, Brac, Hvar, Vis and Korcula. Characteristic for the island world in Dalmatia are slighlty longer and bigger islands and the distance between the islands is also a bit larger. Sailing in this area is really worthwhile!

Dubrovnik in the south of Croatia is also easily accessible via airplane. Starting off in the port of Dubrovnik you will sail to the Dalmatian island world and visit Mlje, and Korcula as well as the smaller island of the Elaphites such as Lopud, Sipan, Jakljan as well as many coastal villages. Dubrovnik itself is worth seeing at any rate as the whole old town area is listed on  UNESCO World Heritage list. Cultural highlights will complete the sailing holiday in Croatia.
